"When you travel to a new city, you always want to explore as much as possible. The role of the Convention and Visitors Bureau (OCV) is to attract visitors to the various cities they represent, assisting with conventions and events."
When traveling to a new city, you always want to explore as much as possible – visit tourist attractions, iconic landmarks, try famous local dishes, and more. The role of the Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) is to attract visitors to the cities they represent, assisting with conventions and events. The CVB of Torreón entrusted us with the development of their website, which posed a significant challenge due to the vast amount of information it needed to encompass. In addition to detailing the functions of the CVB, the website had to provide comprehensive information about Torreón, including transportation options, tourist sites, restaurants, recreational and cultural centers. This way, visitors could get a clear idea of what to expect when exploring our city, serving as a promotional tool for them. All this information had to be well-structured for easy access.
TROUBLESHOOTING / IDEA
The website was developed in WordPress with a user experience design that allows users to quickly find various important options divided in the main menu. It covers details about the convention capacities of different spaces, facilities, etc. The site is easily manageable, allowing constant and fluid updates. The visual concept aligns with the predetermined image of the CVB, incorporating vibrant colors and highly readable fonts. Through the database, they can upload and modify PDF files and other necessary information.
The results are evident – the site's search engine ranking continues to improve, and the number of visits has tripled over the last two years. Continuous improvements are made within the website each year, ensuring its effectiveness and relevance.
